Brembo brakes have a habit of being quite noisy.... particularly when cold, or when braking from a slow speed (i.e. in stop start traffic).

Google 'brembo squeal' and you'll see it discussed on Evo, Scooby and all sorts of forums

I've changed the thread title from "Factory JCW owners only" to better identify the topic of discussion and because these brakes can be retrofitted.

Mine squeal too - mainly in reverse though.? Performance brake setups do in my opinion have a habit of being quite noisy.

think its due to the pads being a much harder compound than standard pads!

Yeah I get a bit of squeeling but a quick hard stamp on the brakes usually heats them up a bit... after washing the car (the discs cover with a rusty glaze) it does take a while to get them to work effectively! They're still worth the agro tho, because when they work they're awesome...

Mine do too ... but only sometimes. And then only when it's been parked for a while.

Find an empty big car park. Get the car moving slowly in reverse and then rest your left foot on the brake pedal increase the pressure and increase speed slightly... you may need to do this every couple of weeks but it should stop it. I have had a number of cars with drilled disks and performance pads - this to date has never failed me. Good luck
