rattle coming from rear of car

I'm sure I read on here that putting some thick tape round the catch cure it, might be mistaken though

Hello

Had my cooper D since march.. First there was a metal banging noise coming from under the bonnet when the engine was hot. took it in to the garage and they couldn't find anything, but it stopped. The forward tweeter then started rattling... so annoying. And now, i have the knocking noise coming from the rear right wheel. Its driving me mad.
Booked in for Tues, trying another garage as I wasn't happy with the last one.

Untill then, I will just have to turn up the music to drown out the rattles...

This is my 4th mini ... and the first with any kind of rattle. Garage suggested the bushes needed replacing but as they weren't sure, suggested waiting until the next service (next year) to hear whether the rattling worsened. I've been unable to find anything loose and had already checked the seatbelts and exhaust before reading this. I'd even taken the toolkit out. Now I'm going to check the seat catches and rear boot ... hopefully a cure is in sight. I don't want to be presumptuous ... but thanks in advance!

I have a rattle like noise from rear also...I believe its the rear bushings in the anti-sway bar...someone told me they are an easy change..and the next time I bring car into my mechanic I'll have him change them out......I only hear the noise at low speed and over bumps as well..could drive you crazy though..

I've had the bushes on the rear anti roll bar replaced twice now, on my 57 plate One. It seems to cure it completely for a while, but eventually the noise starts up again...

Same rattle in the right-rear wheel, dealer just replaced sway bar bushings and cured it... seems like the factory ones are rubber which are prone to wear out again. Has anyone tried the hard plastic aftermarket ones that claim better "feedback" during cornering?
