Retaining Ring on Gear Shift Lever: Recall?

Has anyone had this work done on their Mini?
Just had a phone call to say that my car is being recalled because of an issue with the above?!

Just bought a Mini Cooper S !!

who has rang you? if unsure ring your own dealer quoting your chassis number.

It was my main Mini dealer...

Its just that I havent read of anyone else needing this doing?
