Jerky as hell starting off in 1st

Hey all, I have a Mini One R56, its only got 9k on the clock, so I wouldnt expect the clutch to have given in yet. But I have noticed its so clunky starting off in first,

I either have to rev the engine up quite alot and slip the clutch in, or do it without loads of revs which ends up me bunny hopping into action.

Ive only noticed it recently, thing is, I am a way away from my dealer so I dont really wanna go up there for no reason!

How many revs are we talking about?

I have heard elsewhere on here that the R56 One has a complete lack of torque at low engine speeds.

Oh yer there is no torque in the bottom end. You have to rev the nuts off it sometimes I must admit.

With regs to my comment/problem, I have to give it a good 2-3000 RPM to get started without it jerking.

Oil levels are fine, but to be honest, Ive had it from new and its not supposed to have an oil change until 20k I think. I may get it done beforehand, but I dont likespending the money when they prob wont even do it!
