Soaked seat and driver

Bought a new MC three weeks ago. Have driven it in the rain twice since then and both occassions have been a bit unpleasant. As soon as I opened the door to get out a stream of water rushed down from the roof soaking me and soaking the seat to such an extent that my clothing was absolutely drenched. I'm concerned about water damage to the seat and a smelly, damp car caused by these little floods each time it rains. Is this a common problem with the MC? Is there a solution?

Count me as another victim.

There is a thread about water damage in the Gen 2 ICE section, not necessarily caused by this effect but I'd have thought likely. It really does pour in doesn't it.
