R56 Dipstick will not go in

I puled my dipstick out to check the oil, and now i cannot get it back in, i have tried pushing and twisting it and it still will not go all the way in, it stops about 150mm from the top going on.

Any ideas, i need to fix it so i can go to work tomorrow.

Cheers

I have the same problem with the dip stick not going back in all the way. Has anyone found a solution?

Mine was the PLASTIC timing chain guides caused by the timing chain tensioner (that had already been replaced about 5000k earlier), I had to fight my dealer to have it fixed under warranty, as my car was 8 days out of warranty, long story short after contacting MINI Australia they replaced the timing chain tensioner, timing chain guides, timing chain and dip stick all under warranty.
