| Last year I had to replace the engine on my MCS due to the death rattle. Very expensive excercise (even though BMW did cover £4000 of the cost). Now I need a new sensor due to an occasional hesitation when the engine is under load. They ordered the sensor, saying it would be covered under the 2 year warranty that came with the new engine. Just had a call saying the sensor was actually taken from the old engine, so is not covered. I've called and "explained" how I think this is ridiculous, surely a £6,500 new engine would include new sensors! Not happy. |
