Power Hesitation ( cold weather ) R56 Cooper S

Hey everyone,

I recently had my timing chain sorted following the death rattle, 23rd December, but have noticed with the extra cold weather currently that the first 10-15 mins of journeys from cold the car runs like a normal 1.6 engine without a turbo. I don't want to spank it from cold but just wondered if this was normal or could there be an issue with the work the garage carried out and may need to go back to them.

Thanks

Karl

Has anyone else experienced this at all ? Just wondering if it's only mine or a common thing?

I haven't had any work done but my 08 S responds with the turbo first thing in the morning. Ambient temperature shouldn't make a difference to the turbo working or not.

hmm, was afraid of that. It only seems when it's really cold, maybe 0°C or lower, everything else apart from that is fine and turbo works from start up. Will have a chat with the garage, thanks.
