DIY All Gauges dead, Service light on

Hey folks,

My GF and I picked up a 2008 Cooper S a couple months ago, and we really like it. This am, she hopped in the car as usual off to work - none of the gauges worked. Evidently, the radio eventually came on for her? So no speedo, no tach, no lights on the dash. The real bad part is no heat / climate control. Zero problems with any gauges before this am. 20 mins into her commute the light came on that I'm guessing is a service indicator? Perhaps a check engine light equiv?

She said the car itself seems to be running just fine...

Since the car is just out of warranty @ 38k, where would one start with this? Is there a master fuse for the whole interior?

For what it's worth, we've seen other little electrical gremlins - a flashing headlight when it was really cold (HID setup) and the dome light hasn't worked since we got it.

Thanks for any thoughts,

Dave
