Question Sunroof Opened itself in the Rain

I had just got back home form work and it was pouring with rain so got out the MINI convertible, locked it and went into the house. I started cooking dinner and could see my MINI sitting there in the rain looking very nice as usual

However, about an hour later as I was eating the wife looked out the window and shouted that the sunroof was open! I looked and sure enough the sunroof was open

I ran out to check and it couldn't have been open for more than about five minutes as there was only so much water on the seats and only a few drops on the centre arm rest. I put the key in and the sunroof closed from the half open position (luckily, it didn't fully open itself).

I've done a forum search and can see that the older MINIs have a special feature where the lock can get water in and the windows and sunroof open themselves.

However, this is a MINI Cooper SD Convertible 2012 - Has anybody heard of this happening at all?

For any unbelievers: I definitely didn't leave it open as it was raining heavily all the way back home, so it was never open at all.

I am really paranoid it's just going to open itself at any time now! Help!

These open remotely as well don't they?

Silly question but is it possible that the remote could have been accidentally pressed?
