MCS 2008 Engine Fuse Box - Missing Relay?

Hello everyone,

First post here and I seek the wisdom of other MCS owners! Always been a fan of this forum but until now, everything that I have needed has been covered.

I have a Cooper S 2008 and the Aircon has packed up. I had a look to check the fuse and relay as a first point and I noticed one of the (green?) relays is missing - Relay R2, in the engine fuse box.

The fuse box cover shows that there should be one there, indicated by a engine icon with a spark through.

My question is: am I missing a relay and if so, what does R2 actually do?

I've attached a photo to show which one is not there.

The relay you havent got is K6539 Crankcase breather heating relay.
I would think this is only needed for cold climates, some MINIs dont have it.
