Track rod siezed HELP

I'm attempting to adjust the tracking on a 2006 Mini but the track rod adjustment would seem to use a taper lock design on the end of the track rod. Mine seems to be stuck & I don’t wana break owt! I've never come across this design before, usually the nut just locks up on the end of the track rod – Simples! I've backed off the nuts on both sides & the tapered bushes slide back but - Does anybody have any ideas as to how to free up the tapered end of the track rod which is siezed onto the steering rod! Sorry if this is delt wiv elsewhere I attempted to search for topic but could not find owt!
I squirted em wiv WD40 & have greased em up whilst I await HELP!!
