Service interval

I have a January 2007 Mini Cooper petrol with the extended TLC service pack. It was serviced at 18,000 miles (January 2009) Oil and brake fluid, then at 31,000 miles (Nov 2009) vehicle check, then at 45,700 miles January 2011 Oil, plugs etc. It has now done 69,500 miles yet the service indicator still says 5000 miles or Jan 2013 till the next oil service yet this will be potentially 30,000 miles since the last service. I assume this is OK? (my nearest dealer is about 50 miles away so it is not very easy to just pop in to check with them).

If you know enough time or mileage has passed don't wait for the computer. The dealer could have re-set the wrong change intervals!
