Code P1497

I have a '07 Cooper S and I keep getting the code P1497. The meaning I get off of my scanner is that is is a manufacturer controlled auxiliary emissions controls. No clue what it means though and can't seem to find anything online. Any ideas? I also got some secondary codes: P0012 and P000A.

P0012 "A" camshaft position timing over retarded bank1 / VANOS intake closed loop control fault, camshaft sticks
P000A not listed

For the first one check all intake hoses for cuts breaks and clips are all secured
