United-Kingdom leather seat fault warranty advice

Hi. Help and advice appreciated. My 4 month old jcw's driver seat (lounge leather red piping)has a fault. Three stitches had split from the piping to the seat back leaving a hole. Apparently the dealer thought a manufacturing fault and too close to edge. So the dealer agreed a claim and ordered a leather cover for the seat back only. I asked about finish and was told 'would be factory finish'. This work was done yesterday. The seat looks terrible: saggy around the bolsters and ill-fitting. Compared to the passngger side (original) it looks like a baggy t-shirt. I said this but they told me to put the seat heating on all the time (as heating up then cooling down would make leather fit!?). I said i was very dubious as it doesnt fit correctly now and would only sag more over time. They hold me to give it 2 months! (another fob off!?). I want to reject this and have a full new seat fitted - as assembled in factory conditions. What do you guys think? Many thanks.

Your new seat cover would highly likely have been fitted by the garage mechanic in between him renewing brake pads, and blowing up tyres etc and not by a skilled upholsterer that the factory would use and who ought to do this job.
When you buy the car new, I dont recall it saying in the manual to keep the heating on to stop it going baggy do you? how about if you dont have heating? find a sunny spot to park it in? ha ha.
They need to give the seat to a proper upholsterer to do.

United-Kingdom agreed!

Yes. Agreed. Ths seat looks even worse after week 1. The bmw tech mechanic was a nice fella but not a seat specialist. I do want a brand new seat. That is only fair i think. The saggyness of the seat will only get worse over time. Ive had a courtesy call from bmw dealer and i explained im not 100%happy. The lady said mini hq would call me. Nothing as yet! Can i ask for a brand new seat on a 4 month old jcw with extras. It was not cheap! Thx all.
