Help! Car just lost power but still runs

Just driving my dooper home from work and I was driving up a hill and the power suddenly dipped so I had to change down two gears.
It's also making a funny tinny noise.
It got remapped at the end of November by a reputable mapper, not sure if this has anything to do with it but thought I'd mention it.
It's still driving but the power isn't there when I put my foot down.
Any idea what this might be???

Sounds like possibly the engine has gone into safety get home mode. There are more knowledgable people on here but it if it is a self protect feature, you'd expect to see engine warning lights in the car. Sorry i can't be more help.

Very 'likely' your engine is extremely low on oil. Clue is up or down hill oil shifts in the pan so gage can't pick it up. When low the timing changes to different mode makes engine noisy and loss of power. Get service now. One annoyance is the oil dip stick is unreliable due to its construction so reading it doesn't tell the real story.

No power

Check inlet pipe to turbo has not slipped off/ slipped back on the inlet. Regular occurrence on cooper s and believe does happen on diesel. Would still run but with significant lack of power and if it is this, must be addressed immediately
