DIY Mini one door won't close and window sticking out

Hi, I hope someone can help!

My mini one (2010) hasn't been used since this morning, and this evening have come to drive it.

Opened the door, got in, but when I tried to close the door, it made a horrible bang, and the door shut, but the window was sticking out, and not going into the groove where it should be.

I poured warm water along the bottom of the window, and put it down with electric switch. It closes fine when I wind window down, shut the door, then wind it up. But when I try to shut and lock it, I have the push the window in as I do so.

Now I can lock the car, but the alarm won't arm.
Will my batter run down?

Any suggestions would be VERY welcome. Thank you!

Obviously the window drop feature has stopped working, or it was frozen up preventing it operating to start with?
If the window still works up and down normally on the button you could try a reset procedure to see if that restores the drop when you open the door?

Both my windows were frozen yesterday when I went to work and when the doors were closed the windows did not seat correctly and I had a draught. It took about half an hour for the windows to unfreeze and I could drop them and put them back up again.

When I got back to the car last night the winodows dropped OK when I opened the doors.
