unlocking mini cooper d

I have started having issues with my 07 cooper d. When I lock it using my keyfob the doors lock ok, but when I return to it later it has unlocked itself! Then when i get in to start, the central locking is clicking! I have had one instance of the windows being down, fortunately it wasbt raining! !!

Anybody else had this issue???

I've had something similar on my 2007 MCS before.

Unfortunately, it was my fault. My spare key was in a drawer that was close enough to the car to keep randomly unlocking it and locking it. Must have been items in the drawer pressing the buttons on the fob as things were put in/taken out etc.

I came out one morning to find it completely unlocked and both front windows all the way down. It had rained overnight so I had a nice wet seat as well.

Since i moved my spare key out of the drawer, I havent had any troubles at all.

Not sure it's the same issue but thought it was worth a punt.

I'm having the same issue. However, It's happened while driving! No spare key for miles.

Because it will never do it while at the Mini shop, they have been unable to help.

Certainly worth sharing. I have read about this on so many forum's it's unreal .... invariably caused by the buttons on the fob being accidentally pressed while in a pocket, bag, drawer, etc. etc.
