Please help! Leaky mini one!

Please help!

Recently I have noticed condensation/ice on the inside of the windscreen. I later noticed that my passenger car may was soaking wet, right through to the carpet underneath.

I have a small puddle in the rear passenger footwell. Only the carpets are wet, none of the plastics or upholstery.

I later noticed that the passenger window comes down when the door is opened, but it no longer goes up automatically, it can be done manually from the inside and still goes up and down as normal.

I have been quoted £365 for the motor part for the window! Is that correct; without labour to fit it? Will that also fix my leaky problem- I assume that the water has been coming in through the 1cm gap as the window hasn't closed itself

Thank you

Yes, with all the rain and snow we have had in recent weeks if the window isnt fully closed and hard up against the seal the rain will get in and once the dribble starts it pulls more in by capillary action so you need to make sure the window is fully up when its raining.
Also I would remove or lift the carpets and make sure they are fully dried out, there are electrical components under the seats and if these get damp it might start up all sorts of electrical gremlins.
You can get secondhand motor for around £45 then you would need someone to fit it for you and a main dealer wouldnt do that of course.
