Oil light and engine management light - MINI Cooper Forum

Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice on this if possible please

My 57 mini cooper was a little sluggish yesterday as if it was misfiring though it might just be due to the cold. When i went around a roundabout my oil light flashed on and then went off again.

I checked the oil this morning its not low. when i started the car the amber engine light came on.

I just would like some suggestions on what the fault may be as im taking this to the gargage tomorrow and being female i would like to have an idea before i go so they dont take advantage

You could purchase an OBD2 blue-tooth reader from e-bay .. they cost about £10. This will tell you the fault codes that you can look up. Then you wont get bullshitted by techno crap & will have a very good idea what the problem is.
