DIY MINI r56 little crash and problem with startup

Good evening to all,
I am writing to ask you a question on my mini (mini one 1.4 petrol, 2007 R56)
The other day I ran into a pole and I broke out the passenger airbag and the airbag guide.
now the car does not want to turn on, remains stationary, but the engine has not been touched, so that the bonnet and bumper are no scratches, just the right fender.
I have to reset the airbag? or is there something to be restarted in order to start the car? it is not the battery because the dashboard lights and i've cheched it.

please help me

I have a Mini but don't know where to look but most modern day cars have an emergency fuel cut off that may have been triggered when the air bag was deployed.

I bet Caveman will know!

Not off the top of my head ... but I found this post on NAM which I think applies to 2nd Gen models:

Quote:
When any of the supplemental restraint system (SRS) components have deployed, the multiple restraint system (MRS) control module records such.
If at least one pyrotechnic restraint is activated during a crash, the MRS sends a crash telegram through the K-CAN bus network.
With that data present, the ECU switches off both the fuel pump and alternator, releases all the door locks through the Junction Box (JB), and activates safety lighting [hazards and all interior lights on].

The following is needed for replacement in the event of an accident:
* MRS control module - fault memory must be cleared and reset with MINI approved scan tool, up to two times. If MRS has been in third accident, it must be replaced.
* Cables & Plugs - check for damage and replace as needed
* Airbag Modules - replace if deployed
* Steering Wheel - replace if steering wheel airbag deployed
* Steering Column - replace if damaged
* Passenger Airbag Cover - replace if airbag deployed
* A-, B-, C-pillar Trim / Headliner - replace if head protection airbags deployed
* Seat Belt Buckle & Pyrotechnic Tensioner - must replace every time in event of crash

thanks for the answer, so to make it start, I can take it to a mechanic who has the means approved for MINI to reset the MRS control module right?

But you will need a new air bag assembly fitting first I would think as it would still recognise its now inactive so might not reset anyway?

hello nun, before changing the airbag, I would like to understand why you do not turn on.

It must have been a heck of a thump to deploy the airbag and for the vehicle to become immobilised. Just because there is little apparent visible damage, it doesn't mean there isn't any. Modern bumpers can compress and spring back out again, concealing structural damage behind. If I were you, I would get the vehicle checked over at your MINI dealer or competent independent garage.
