Low Transmission Oil From Factory
I have been lurking this forums for a couple months now and finally decided it was time to buy a Mini Cooper S.
I went to test drive a 2011 Cooper S in a manual transmission with 27k miles. During the test drive, it would make a high pitched noise when i constantly go around 40-45MPH.
The dealer checked it out, and told me that there was about 1 liter of transmission oil missing. This was probably from factory. Meaning it has been driven for about 2-3 years with low transmission oil.
The weird thing is, they offered to replace the transmission with a new one.
Is this a common problem and do you think there are other damages that would have occured? Should I take the vehicle or continue on looking for another?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
