Mini not starting

Hi there,

My girlfriends mini cooper doesnt seem to start up. The radio etc will cone on so its not down to the battery i presume. When you turn the ignition it makes a rapid click click click u til it goes, beep, then repeats.

Not sure if its the starter or what, not really a clue about these things! Any help would be appreciated. Its a 56plate with 50K.

Ive also just noticed both the wipers and windows are really slow and when you put the lights on the radio dies...

I dont know of this is any help, but on the central dial, the trip keeps reseting and when you bress the wee button in, it shows a flashing -746

Sounds like the battery to me. You don't need much power to run the radio, but you do to start the car.

All the other symptoms tend to suggest this.

Hi ya

What generation is your car gen 1 or gen 2

Get your battery checked you may need to charge it or replace it, if you keep on trying to use the cars electrics you may corrupt the cars computers causing lots more problems
I would say get the battery check and charged if it's ok, you car may be draining the battery do to an electrical problem.
That's why I ask when gen it is
