Corrosion/Rust claim (on hatch) approved for 2010 MCS

While washing my car about two months ago, I noticed a line of bubbled paint along the edge of the hatch on my Mini Cooper S. Upon further inspection, I found flaked off paint with rust spots. On my 4 year old car.

I brought the car in to the dealership a week or two later, and a claim was submitted to Mini USA. The claim has been approved and work to fix the corrosion will take place next week.

I've included some before pictures for reference and will show the final results once the work is complete.

This was a total shock when I found it, but I am very pleased that Mini is honoring the corrosion warranty on this. My dealership (Mini of Peabody) has been consistently helpful with any issues I've had on both of the Mini's I've purchased from them.
