Reduced power, showing yellow half engine light on rev meter dash and after an OBD scan, i got P1637 and P2103 error codes. Check engine light on the dash is lit but the misfires and limp mode driving feeling has gone.
What could it be?
P1637 - Throttle Actuator A Control Motor Circuit High
P2103 - Throttle Valve Position Control stuck Temporarily
P3091 - Fuel Rail Pressure
:nerd:
I would guess that you are running a Mini Cooper S? If so, it's probably the HPFP playing up. (Sorry to sound smug but it was one of the reasons I didn't buy an S model).
Obviously, there may be a problem with your thottle body.
The only other thing I can think of is that you may have a blocked hose in your crank case ventilation system.
1. Is the throttle issue, a certain throttle body issue, or might it be related with the HPFP or the blocked hose that you suggest?
2. For which error might the hose be responsible for do you think?
3. Can you please show me where that hose might be so i can have a look, or can't it be replaced?
I just replaced the HighPressureFuelPump but the Throttle valve errors (1637, 1638) are still there. If its the Throttle valve, maybe i need to fix it, maybe clean it someway. has anyone got an idea on how to do this?
Could the Throttle Valve errors (1637 & 1638) im having, be due to carbon build up in the valves or the intake manifold?
