my mini coooper s r56 2009 45k miles started missfiring on two cylinders. the garage later told me that the car is only running on two cylinders. the mechanic i use who has plenty of experience on r56's cannot find the problem whatsoever, the car has previously been remapped by the last owner. the engine oil was smelt really strong of petrol if this helps.
i have changed the coilpacks/sparkplugs but no luck. any help would be deeply appreciated

From what I've seen on the board here, the S model has a serious problem with carbon fouling on the intake valves. The shop should perform a compression and leak down test on the offending cylinders. From there they should be able to suss out whether or not your intake valves are sealing or if there are other issues afoot.
