My R 57 2010 n12b16a cooper cylinder head is giving me problems. Its been to the dealers to dignose an intake camshaft light. After two weeks they said it needs a new head, €4500.00 to cure, something about oil circulation and scoring? It runs good with no noise and good mpg.
I looked on ebay for a recon head, apart from the correct engine code are all the heads the same for the N12B16 as the as N12B14 ie valve diameter, cam lift etc.? There is a lot of different bhp listed in the specs over the years of n12's.
Anybody any experience with recon heads? I dont want to go to the expense and find a pwer diference with the recon.
Thanks or maybe two aspirin in the tank will cure the head ache.
