Hi All,
I'm really hoping someone can offer some helpful advice. I have a 2011 Mini Cooper with temperamental front wipers when cold. The end of last winter they started to play up, but then as it warmed up they've been fine all summer. As it's cold now they are playing up again. When the car is cold first thing in the morning and I press the stork down for what should be one wipe, they can do anything from 5 - 15 and then sometimes stop in the middle of the screen. When they stop in the middle of the screen, sometimes they can be moved by pressing the stork again, but on occasions I have to completely turn the engine off and on.
The garage have replaced both relays and checked wiring, which they say is fine. They don't know the cause, but want to change the motor now. This seems a little extreme as the wipers work fine after about 10 minutes, when the car is warm and are then fine all day.
The only posts I've managed to find relate to older models and earthing, but the garage have said this isn't relevant to this model.
Any help greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Andi
