hi, i have a r56 , ive tried a few times to take out the side light holders on both sides of the car and failed , they just will not budge, Any ideas , ive thought of just buying new ones and trying to break out the old ones by means of a drill, thoughts please, john,
hi, i might have misled you, its not the side indicator lights, its the front side lights, i know you have to turn them anti clockwise and pull them out, but as i said they will not turn,
Its a common problem for the bulb holders to swell and seize in the fitting. I renewed the pair of mine on the Clubmans and popped them in with some bum lube to assist easy removal. You can remove the holders without taking the bumper off but it's tight and when the light fitting is removed you can try and wiggle them out but there's a good chance you will break them. Minitech spares in Bury (Manchester) sell OEM fittings that are brand new for just under £50
Original Manufacture Equipment i.e dealer parts. The new lenses must be uprated as they were different to the old shytty ones I removed from my car. I had to do 2 asI like things to be symmetrical
