I think it shows that MINI are still going to retain the retro look, but modernise it with more features and quality, I think the future for MINI looks fantastic
I am sure that with time, the after market companies will catch up on whatever the end design is, they always do
As for in your face, I bet thats how folks thought when they saw the current speedo design, but it is now what most folks love. For me I love the idea of how the Sat Nav is built into the centre of the speedo, totally intergrated, totally thought out as part of the design process and not just an after option. I also love the way that the switches for the sun roof carry the same design styling as the lower switches, in a brushed aluminum
Hate it. Don't like the white, and the new speedo looks like, as someone else said, Kenny from South Park. I DO like the outside of the car though, very nicely done.
I just hope the final interior design is more conservative. I'd considering moving up to a newer model at some point, but not if they keep that interior. It's a deal breaker for me.
I think with that much chrome, I will need bigger ones of these
I have always liked the speedo, nice feature, but as this is a 'concept', it would have been nice to see a digital display instead.
Many years ago I had a Studebaker President, that had a ball as a speedo. As it rotated there was different coloured area on it. A red zone, a Blue Zone and so on.
, indeed it is. I think we have a new nickname for the Frankfurt Concept.
Voted "Hate it", but I actually wanted an in-betweeny option, because I dislike really only one aspect of the interior, it's too light. It would be a lot more acceptable to me if it were darker colors. Other bits are maybe a bit over the top, (especially the Kenny speedo) but not too bad.
