Chrome Line Interior R56

I have the chrone line interior in my mellow yellow mini.

Really pleasing to the eye goes well with my piano black and yellow colour line.

BUT

OMG it give you a awful reflection on both side mirrors really really really bad.

I would suggest before anyone specs this to go and check a mini with it fitted before comfirming spec.

Not found this to be an issue so far with the Yellow S I've been driving this week (and next) at all. It did reflect the dials at night quite a lot, but it didn't distract me at all.

The ambient lighting seems to be much brighter this time round. Looks cool

It is a bit yes, but with the yellow dash rolls I think it will look a bit brighter than with dark grey etc.

Also, in the angled shot, the dash is also being hit by the light from inside the door pull, as the door is open in that shot.

I noticed the reflection no problem as so did Allan once I pointed it out. It is the silver ring that goes round the Airvent you know the one at the end of the dash both sides reflect on both side mirrors. Defo them if I cover them up with my hand reflection goes away. Noticed it the whole 150 miles trip home only time it was ok was when the sun was behind me. It reflected in both sun light and dull.

Go check it out.

How do you mean reflection? You mean reflects light, or an actual reflection? In terms of whats in the in the mirror I can only just see the rear outside of the MINI to get the best rear view, none of the interior?

double refraction. What that means the light is hitting the chrome ring refracting (bouncing) of the side window and onto the mirror this happens in even low light conditions due to the high reflectivity of the chrome ring and it's position on the dash.

All I need to do is put the flat of my hand between the air vent and the side window to take the relection away.

Not noticed that at all to be honest, maybe related to seat position etc, or I'm just looking beyond it. At night (just tested), there's a tiny orange dot where the lights reflect off the chrome rings at the side, but the engine on off button reflects even more than that, but not so much it bothers me.

I took delivery of my R56 MCS just over 1 week ago.

My spec did'nt include chrome line interior. I feared that the chrome interior would look too 'bling', but in the flesh, areas such as the surround for the SatNav look a bit plain without the chrome surround, hence, I now regret not speccing the chrome line interior

Does anyone know if an aftermarket chrome line interior is currently (or will become) available for the R56?
