Question Map screen - time & distance to arrival

I have just ordered a MCS & am getting the Sat Nav.

On the test drie, I was unable to see the arrival time & distance to destination on the map screen. It is possible to see on the trip computer, but it is a pain to have to swap screens to see this. Is it possible to see this info on the map?

If not, we all need to Email MINI to get them to do a firmware update to allow this, as it is really useful info! Never had a Sat Nav system without it - including the original MINI!

Thanks

You need to set the map to spilt screen in the settings menu. You'll then get the map plus road diagrams and the distance and time remaining.

From the sound of things you had it on full screen.

Sorry, that was for the mark 1. I picked up your thread off an RSS feed so didn't realise it was for the R56. I would have thought that it would have a similar setting.

I was looking for this setting when I had one for the afternoon and I couldn't find it, so not sure it does

Well, I can't find an option for spilt screen, but it's a bit of trial and error at the moment as my dealer supplied the non-sat nav handbook

I had a long play today in one & there is no split screen function.

Really disappointed with the new sat nav - worse than the origional CD based one IMHO. Am leaning towards a TomTom 910 at present

I cannot find the option either - X5world has firmware v28 available - does anyone know if these are compatible with the R56?

I have the NL (Netherlands) MINI folder (not the handbook).

On page 74 is says:
MINI Navigation system with 16:9 screen, Voice control, maps and it has a split screen function.

I order a MCS R56 with nav but I have to wait till end of March.
