R56 stereo upgrades with pics

I've changed out all my stock speakers for 4 ohm Focals now and the sound is MUCH better but they could certainly use more juice.

That wiring harness is a bit intimidating to be splicing into though!

I used to have the old Mini generation (54 reg) I bought a kenwood stereo and it improved the standard speakers to just how I like it.

Although I have now bought the new generation mini (R56) and I cant obviously change the stereo, but would it be possible to buy a new amp to improve the speakers quality like my last mini....??

Let me know as im struggling to find some good information on what to do for improvment. (I dont wanna be spending more the £250+ either.

I have a Mini One (R56), and want to upgrade the sound in it! I have the standard boost system at the moment, and wouldn't mind doing the retrofit HK (without the HK amp as it's so expensive!) but would that work if i don't have the hifi?

I also have a SPLX 450w amp that i have been given...is there anyway I could use that too?
