Armrest

Does anyone have any thoughts about whether the armrest is worth ordering?

Cant say really, but it is something that I have missed in my R53. I have ordered it on my incoming R56. Not a expensive option, sure it can be retrofitted if you miss it, but that is probably gonna cost you more.
So I say, get it.

I have an armrest in my current car and I say it is very convenient and for the price they ask, I think it is worth it. You can rest your arm + you get extra storage space. Anyhow, I ordered it in my R56.

I'd say it's well worth ordering. I'd didn't have it on my previous MCS and always wished I'd spec'd it. Needless to say I have one in my R56

I was out in an S (R56) this sunday that had one. Its not good. It slides open when u rest your arm on it, and it creaks like mad too. Feels very cheap and gets in the way.

Guess its just personal preference as I really like having an armrest in a car, have it in my current MINI and its also on order for my new MINI.

I currently have it on order for my R56.
NOT by choice though, by default as I wanted to have the Bluetooth Prep.

I did find it got in the way with my R53 and I will be looking at options later to see if I might be able to remove it....

I like the armrest for 2 reasons:

1. Extra storage space (handy for cigs, phone, coins, etc.)
2. To rest my arm, as I have ordered an automatic, and it will not be in the way of gear changes.

Same here. But in a way ironically I think I will be paying. I was thinking to get the Bluetooth button within the armrest moved next to the (or rather to replace) the blank mysterious third button by the gearbox. Might have to contact Mikey about that as he sorted my Folding Mirror Buttons for me on my R53.

... Rushes of and sends quick PM to Mikey.

I agree.

If you have your hands on the wheel you don't need it.
