How good is the R56 heater v R53 (not controls)

I was wondering how good the R56 heater is compared to the R53 especialy the amount of heat to the feet

I honestly think the heater vent positions are slightly better on the new MINI, but there's not much in it in terms of power of air etc.

Thats Ok, the airflow before was not very good to your feet & too good to your face

Not to mention how quickly heat gets into the cabin. The heaters have heat coming out of them within about 30 seconds.

Is that because the new lightweight alloy engine block transfers heat to the coolant flowing through faster?

Agreed, it heats up really fast - almost like there is an auxilliary heater

I've found airflow to feet much better. I could hardly feel it on the old model, but can feel the nice warm air on my cold toes in the R56

Maybe it's a mini thing, but I can't find a happy balance with the heating, it is either too hot or too cold and I am forever faffing about adjusting it
