Fire extinguisher fitting in R56

Has anyone fitted one ?, if so where and did you find any instructions ?

See the standard place is in the boot, not so keen on this as hard to get to in emergency and boot liner will need to be cut around it.

The actual extinguisher is the same as in our e46 3 series which went neatly under the drivers seat.

Fitted to the rear trim panel in the end, easy to remove it as only 3 lower and 4 upper clips.

Drilled the relevant holes and secured with pan head bolts.

No rattles, fits with the storage box in place and quicker access than the recommended position, would still prefer it inside the car but have not found anywhere suitable yet.

Can't you just put it on the floor behind the front seats - you can get foamy stuff that is used to stop cylinders from moving to rest it in. (Maybe use from blue-tac if you cannot find the foamy stuff).

Unless you have passengers, then you can't.
