Help with sound system? upgrades?

Hello everyone!

I finally took delivery of my new Laser Blue MINI about a week ago and there is only one thing that I don't find up to par with my previous Cooper S. The R56 sound system sounds pretty bad in my opinion... I messed with the settings for a while and it got a little better, but I need to do something more. I just love driving and listening to loud music!

I seached the threads and found some info. (Thanks Mikey!) But I have some issues... First and foremost I live in Japan. Usually I'd agree that we have some rockin' stores and audio equipment, but they don't really know how to handle MINI here. Maybe I just don't trust them with my new baby? They guys at Autobacs (toys r us for cars) don't really know what to reccomend since the MINI is not in their books.

Anyways, I can get some equpment here or import it, but I wonder if anybody has any ideas or opinions on the subject? What equipment is the best bang for the buck and easy to install? I'm pretty handy, but still a newbie when it comes to changing car audio stuff. I don't have many tools either.

Will Mikey even ship to Japan?

Mikey, if you ever want to come to Japan for a week on holiday, I have a guest room and could show you around Kyoto and Osaka. (You'd have to fly here though!)

(This is a kinda silly post, but I don't know... Lots of people want to come to Japan and visit. It's super fun and there are special MINI parts that you can only get here. Good for buisness and pleasure?)
