Tan leather, or black? As I begin to seriously consider replacing my aging 52MCS with a Clubman S, I have started to fret about spec. And although I know that I want a leather interior, I want to get the *right* leather. I'm drawn to the tan/beige gravity leather, but how quickly does it get marked or dirty? How well will it cope with supporting my derriere for a hundred thousand miles, and will my kids' muddy feet wreck it? Of should I go for the black lounge leather, which by all accounts shouldn't stretch or sag (the downside being a darker interior)?

I would be bias in saying that the black lounge leather is the one to get as iv just got my mini with it....and its gorgeous....so soft and good quality....similar to the parklane leather. The beige gravity is very nice also but will be prone to bad wear IMO and will show all the stains/marks/scuffs....it would make the cabin space appear brighter though but as far as I'm concerned the black lounge leather is the way to go!

I choose against leather in the end because I really do not like the colour of the tan leather I have had tan leather in two other cars and even with two small children, I do not think that marks etc are the problem to worry about. I ended up with half leather, because I thought the black leather was going to be too dark, but I now have black/black half leather, so I do not know what went wrong there...

Thanks all. Rather confirms what I was thinking. Black lounge leather it is, then. Now I just need to fret about the exterior colour. Option 1 was BRG witht he beige interior. Option 2 is black interior, and ither white or red outside. I think I'll choose red. It's a known fact that red cars are faster.

I'd say pick pepper white with the leather lounge, in combination with the cream white interior trims and piano black! It looks so splendid, all whites match perfect! It's is really the classy chic, just like BRG-beige, but with a modern designy touch... I really love it in mine! oh, and the anthracite roofing is also a must then, I agree it gets a bit darker, but then simply take the panoramic roof and you get a really lounge, modern, design feeling. I think it is really the nicest choice. Have fun deciding! |
