Bluetooth phone display?

Hi,

Quick question for anyone with the factory fit Bluetooth. The phone (I understand) goes into the centre armrest. So does the phone display appear on the dash anywhere?

In my current car the phone sits on a bracket by the dash so I can use it and see who's calling etc, it's hard to see how this is possible in the MINI.

Put the phone wherever you want, unless you can get a centre armrest adapter for your phone (there aren't that many available). The phone display, caller ID, etc. shows up in the radio display or in the sat nav screen if you have it.

That sounds excellent.

Is it possible to access the phone memory from the steering wheel controls? Or can you just "voice dial" (limiting) and answer using the buttons?

I like 'em big...

I haven't been able to download my phone address book to the car kit but the voice dialling on the car kit itself actually works pretty well and you can store address entries in there.

So I can press and hold the voice dial button (on steering wheel) until it beeps then do things like:-

me "dial name"
car "say the name"
me "blah"
car "do you want to dial blah?"
me "yes"
car "dialling blah"

or you can do "dial number" and then read out the digits - works very well.
