Help! Black or Tuscan Beige leather??

Hi,

Ok so MINI on order, build week 15, delivery April 21st ish.

Gone for high spec Cooper S in Astro Black with black leather, Piano Black dash, charcoal colourway and anthricite headlining, plus chromeline interior to give it some sparkle.

Incidently it's also got a sunroof so that should lighten it up a bit.

The demo car had this combiniation and it looked superb.

Thing is, browsing the forum this mornig I cam across this thread:

http://www.mini2.com/forum/2nd-gen-m...roll-call.html

And I have to say, that Astro Black Cooper S with Tuscan Beige looks fantastic!

I'd considered this but thought it was a darker beige (more a sandy colour like the door trim) but in the photos it looks cream, which is very classy.

So I'm in a real quandry now, should I switch to Tuscan Beige? I think it looks classy, it'd lighten the interior, be a good contrast with the outside, and I like it a lot. Just not sure about the door trim though, wish that was black like the dash and the carpet (ie just the seats in cream).

But the black of the demo car looked great too, I like the whole black on black theme of the car, it'd be more practical, and it's sportier, and it is above all a sporty car.

What do we think, stick with black or switch to Tuscan Beige?

And given the dates above, am I even able to change (I guess I am, the order only went in a couple of days ago) and how long have I got to make my mind up?

I like 'em big...

i'd switch just to be different, i like the light interior as it lifts the illusiion of interior space, but hey its your car

I know it is a long way off (your car isn't even built yet ) but I would suggest black will be better for resale. I would anticipate black leather will age better too?
Sure both would look good, but I would stick with black.

Well I tracked down a Tuscan Beige interiored MINI at the weekend and we went to have a look.

I love the seats, they look really great. What I personally was less keen on was the totally beige door trims. If they'd been black with beige centres (inside the oval trim line) that would have been fine, but all beige was just a bit much for me, plus I felt it didn't really go with the black dash (ideally it needed a dark brown top to the dash or something).

I'd also have been happy with the Tuscan Beige seats and everything esle as per a black interior but apparently they cannot do that.

That's not to say I didn't like it, I actually liked it a lot, but in summary I decided I prefered the more matched all black finish, so I'm keeping the spec as is, black leather, black headlining, piano black dash and black (well, charcoal grey) colourway.

Glad I saw it though.

Have to say was bit nervous when brought the car with that light colour but it looks really good in the flesh, so to say..
i have done 1600 miles now, just wipe the seats over every few weeks with leather condtioner keeps them looking nice and clean..

Certainly not knocking the Tuscan interior, I think it looks grear and it was a close call.

But to use that photo above, if they'd made the door trim black (to match the dash top and carpet) and just coloured the bit inside the oval trim ring beige, I'd personally have prefered it.

But I know I am very fussy and particular, which is why for me the black with everything matching is the way forward.

I have the Tuscan Beige. The leather is not the color in the thumbnails of the link. It is not cream at all. In fact it's the color of the plastic door trim on the passenger side door, more yellow/beige. I like it.

Tuscan Beige with Astro Black always looks fab! I personally love it.

Whenever one comes into our new car stock, it always sells very quickly!
Go for the Tuscan Beige & I'm sure you won't regret it
