How to use the Basic Bluetooth Phone

Hi,

Quick question, with the basic bluetooth features on the R56 (2008 model), when I press the "phone" button on my steering wheel it seems to just call the last person I called.

How do I get to the phone menu where I can pick the numbers from an address book?

Can anyone help?

I'm usually the last to ask this type of question too, but there's so much to relearn on my new car!
I think I may need to use the menu button to call up the phone interface (as you do for CD/tuner)....

Alternatively, you can use the voice control button and say "Phone" to be switched to the address book.

I have the nav system and also discovered if you have a telephone number selected, pressing the phone button on the steering wheel will dial the selected number instead of redialing. Not sure if it works the same way without nav.

Or, you can skip the phone number list altogether and say "Dial" <Contact Name>.

Without the nav system <Concact Name> would be replaced with whatever name you had recorded when a voice tag was setup. With the addition of the nav, the car seems to create voice tags all on it's own for the contact names as they are listed in the phone list.

I'm in the States, so behaviour may vary a bit, but it works this way for us

Cool - thanks a million!

I've been playing with the voice dialing but it jsut seems to dial the last number, i'll try saying dial and a contact name next!

Thanks again!

I just realized I might not have been too clear, the phone button will usually just re-dial the last number, with the voice command way, you'll need to use the talking head button above it.

Also, in the US at least, the manuals were mis-printed with incorrect instructions on adding voice tags if you don't have the nav system. You can use the voice command "help" while in the phone menu to list off the available commands. More detail here, if you want 'em.
