Have to agree with some, I have the built in sat nav and think it looks better than the non sat nav.

Can't say I've any problems with the radio, sat and read the book and played with knobs

I've auto a/c-heating so just set and forget

I do wish the door pockets were bigger though

Manual a/c for me any day.

Because I can operate it all the while keeping my eyes on the road ahead.

True the fan and temp controls are classic examples of how not to design such features.

Next time BMW, give it to the apprentice to design, rather than the apprentices monkey.

So now I should delay our new MINIs until the mid-life refresh of the console?

...and wait for the next change to the colour choices in November

...and hold on for the 3rd generation MINI to come out in ?2012?

Or maybe not!

Not here much any more

I wouldn't be ordering anything new right now anyway, I'd wait to see what the MINI 50 looks like, then decide if that is worth a punt or wait for November at least

And I certainly would not be the first to be driving a convertible out the show room again, not after last time

I'm basing my confidence on the fact that, as the roof design does not appear to have been changed very much, and SURELY by now all the issues of roof wear and self-destructing rear screens have been fixed? Maybe I'm just being a bit naive.....

Yup

The supplier of the roof has been changed, or was planned to be changed after the last car due to its problems so I was told, and thats the only thing that I would hope for, as the last one really wasn't ever 100% right, even in the end.

So that's:

a. "Yup, I'm being naive"
b. "Yup, the roof has finally been fixed"
c. Both of the above
d. None of the above

Who knows on the roof, but I've learnt the hard way about buying new models as they launch all too often now from MINI sadly to say

But hope your experience is better than mine has been Ian
