Chromeline Interior Bits Missing

I picked up my Mini Dooper last October and specced the Chromeline interior.
My friend ordered a Dooper when I took delivery also with Chromeline interior, when his was delivered last week I noticed he has chrome rings around the speakers in the door panels and I just have shiny black plastic.

My question is should I have got chrome speaker surrounds and now need to make a trip to the dealer to get them ?.

Many thanks

Do you have the Hi-Fi upgrade?

I think that has black gloss surrounds IIRC

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I do have the HiFi upgrade and my friend doesnt so that would explain it. Would have been nice if I had been told this when I ordered as prefer the chrome surrounds and as I payed for them feel I should have been given the choice.

Mine has chrome line interior plus HIFI upgrade and all speakers have chrome rings. Mine was an early build R56 though maybe they changed it?

Either way I'd moan to the dealer... even if it's normal they may help.

The HiFi on the later Mini's comes with the gloss black rings around the speakers to differentiate, I've got them on mine too.

A possible retrofit? Try kicking up a fuss at the dealer and claim they forgot to fit them at the factory, they don't get many HiFi cars in and therefore can not always tell, and may not know the difference aesthetically.

The service guys thought mine had a sub hidden away, that was before the far from inconspicuous MTX in my trunk!

It's a Mini Adventure.

if you bought the interior kit you should have those chrome rings even if they are not fitted - you have paid for them so talk nicely to your delaership and ask for them and if they will then fit them too.
