2 Bluetooth phones??

Anyone know if the car (full BT, Nav option) can handle two phones at once? Can I have one phone in the snap-in armrest thingy and another in my pocket and have the car handle any incoming calls on either phone?

I'm suspecting not but am ever hopeful!

(apologies in advance for not searching but am at work and access is logged so need to be quick!!)

Have you tried it? It would be interesting to see if it does or not.

I have a standard bluetooth and it cannot connect (but can be paired) to two simultaneously. It can cope with my Nokia phone and a Blackberry and will toggle between the two reasonably quickly

No, but I asked cos it caused me a problem this morning (support call from work) and I discovered the cheapo work phone had BT which set me thinking, hence the question. I'll try to give it a go on way home tonight. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised but I'm not expecting it to work.

It's only able to connect to a single phone at any one time- Bluetooth chips are a one to one connection.

You can set a priority list though; the Mini uses it to determine which phone to connect with if there are multiple registered phones present- up to four can be listed if I remember correctly.

Curious if your cell works with the Second Gen MINI?

This isn't really true. Bluetooth can handle up to seven devices.

Hmm- some Googling and I stand corrected on the Bluetooth bit, apologies!

How do I tell my Mini it can connect to another 5 or 6 phones then???

Seriously though, thanks for the input. I tried it last night and then got distracted by a USB stick that it wouldn't recognise so the phone kinda got forgotten.
One day all this technology stuff will work seamlessly - won't it!

, no worries. They likely limited that amount of connections as most people would have no need to have multiple phones connected at any given time. I do know that my Parrot will connect to multiple phones as I have accidentally done it before. I don't know if it would function, but it did connect.
