Possibly...mine occasionally loses volume and then it comes back but I assumed it was my Ipod (which is quite old)

I have had problems with the usb and bluetooth since I got the car, it does not seem to recognise when a usb device is plugged in at all and cannot select it when plugged in on the display so it just doesn't. I've also not been able to get the bluetooth to work since I got the car. The car is a 2008 mini cooper d from May 2008. However, due in part to having an aversion to car dealers I have only recently had it looked at (in allegedly more detail) by the dealer. Surprise, surprise apparently the fault in my car is not covered by the warranty as apparently it has been caused by water damage under the passenger seat where the bluetooth electrical stuff is found. I find it very difficult to believe that any water damage has occurred in this area or any of the car as I do not make a habit of bathing in in my car or allowing local ducks to swim in a makeshift car/pond. To get it fixed it will cost over £500 which I assume is before VAT. Any way after that rant (sorry very angry with car dealer,so strange how it just happens to be a problem not under the warranty, but they are the experts!), just wondered what problem you have been having with your car in case it is something similar. Thanks.

MY USB stopped working recently. Unplugged my stick, plugged in teh iphoen cable and it stopped working. If you look inside the usb socket its not a standard type u find on a computer. It looks like there are just flimsy wires making the connection. The problem I think with mine is that those wires got bent back and are no longer making the connection. I haven't talked to the garage yet. I'm hoping it wont be an issue getting it fixed under warranty.

Hi
This is my first post. Got my new MCS yesterday. Love the car! However, when I connect my iPod via the special cable they gave me the iPod doesn't seem to be recognised via the USB but it will charge. The Aux port works.
Tried several iPods from 2005, 2007 and 2009. All the same! Will try a memory stick when I get back home tonight. Any special tricks to try or is it just a dud?

Would have gone back to dealership today but I'm stuck in work :-(
