MiniS Stereo/System Instaling

Hi,

I don't know if I am posting this on the correct page, but I wanted some help. I've got a MiniS and want to change my music system...maybe put in some Speakers (Amps) subwoofers...etc.

I think to do this I may need to change the front music stereo etc etc...and do not think I can do this, and wanted to know if anyone knows a company who does the whole system for you.

I heard someone say their is a company who is popular with BMW's and MINI's and the whole change etc etc. I can not remeber the exact name of the company...but I think it might be carbon, carmen, or harbour, or harbon...etc etc! I really have no clue...and tried searching on google but I dont have a good base name to start my search!

harmon kardon is a factory option you can buy with the car, while you can buy harmon kardon parts aftermarket i dont think they have a fitting shop. what year is your car?

My car is the 2nd generation (I think). Its made in 2008. I did check the Harmon Kardon website, I dont know if thats the exact one. Cos I heard that theirs a company that actualy fits the head set and does eveything (cos I dont really want to remove the design of the head unit as it finishes the look of the mini - where the cd insert is and the small screen for the auido functions are)...and by the looks of the Harmon Kardon website (uk) they do not do that!?

As you have the late MINI there is not much in the way of change to the dashboard installed stereo. You can get the dealer to upgrade the Amp, and Speakers to Harman kadron, but there is not much scope for a different Head Unit.

I have an 02 MCS and love the sound of the standard speakers, although have a kenwood Head Unit fitted, it is easier with the early car.
