Confused navigation system!

For some strange reason, the navigation system in my 2007 MCS isn't working right. It was working fine when I left home. I set the destination to go to Target near my sister's house. So anyway, when I left Target, while in the lot, I input my sister's address from the Address Book from the nav system. She just moved to that area, so I'm not that familiar with my surroundings. As I exited the lot, I noticed I wasn't following the blue line leading to my sister's house. Normally it would re-route itself, but it didn't. So, I ended up getting lost, used my iPhone to lead me to the right direction and made it to my sister's house safe and sound. From the display, it looked like my MINI was going off-roading, and driving on a river and whatnot.

To make a long story short, I called the dealer and they suggested leaving the DVD out to "calibrate" it overnight. Since I am out of warranty, I have to pay the $125 diagnostic fee which makes me sad

Has anyone ever experienced this? Has anyone ever fixed this on their own? I will have to see tomorrow if this calibration works.

Hi,

Have the same problem, disconnected my battery for 1/2 hour. This solved the problem for a while but now it's back.

What is the status of your problem?

Kind regards,
Rogier

The dealer tried that to no avail. Ended up replacing the whole unit. Wasn't a pretty price. Lucky your worked.
