Seatbelt Chime Volume Adjustment?

My girlfriend's 57 plate cooper has the annoying seatbelt 'gong' alert when someone or something is sat in the passenger seat without the seatbelt fastened.

Is there a way to reduce the volume of this? She doesn't want to turn it off, just make it quieter.

My cousins 58 plate cooper has an option to do this in the audio settings on the radio but my GF's earlier model doesn't.

Does anyone know if this is possible? Thanks in advance!

If it's a 'something' in the seat then simply fasten the seatbelt (behind the seat works too) or put the thing on the floor, if it's a 'someone' then surely use the seatbelt (and avoid a fine too!)
Can't find a setting in a 59 Dooper (Nav fitted)

Thanks for taking the time to read my question thoroughly :/

I've searched for the answer on other forums for this and all the threads seem to end up with a finger wagging 'use your seatbelt' answer. This is why i deliberately worded the question to make it crystal clear (or so i thought) that we just want to lower the volume of the 'bong' and NOT turn it off. Again, to clarify, we DO want the chime to sound when a seatbelt isn't being used, just not as loudly.

An 08 MINI One without Nav does have the option.

Apologies if that was a tad harsh but I knew someone would say 'wear a seat belt' if i wasn't clear with my question so i took time to word it properly and still someone says 'wear a seatbelt!' (and i was having a bad day)

I bought a seatbelt buckle from a breakers which i plug in to stop the chimes, the buckle has been used on several different cars so they all appear to be the same size

Thanks Robby but again, we don't want to stop the chime, just reduce the volume.
