United-Kingdom Help - USB not working?

Wife's Countryman Cooper S is just a few days old so we're still finding our way around, but, confusion with the front USB/AUX-IN ports.

I've tried two different USB memory sticks with MP3/WMA format music (not DRM) but neither seem to make any difference - no sound, no tracks recognised. What's odd is that in the EXTERNAL DEVICES screen, the USB entry is always greyed out but the AUX Front is always selectable, even though I do not have anything in that socket.

Help please,

Peter

*UPDATE*: reformatted an old 4Gb stick to FAT16 from FAT32 and now that works ok. But I want to use a 8GB stick so have no choice but to use FAT32 - any clues anyone?

All ok now - a nano usb stick didn't work, with a Verbatim stick - all ok
