Mini boost CD, what's the difference?

Hi all. I have not long had my 08 cooper and I have noticed that the stereo is the mini boost CD, and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference is with this system and the normal system they fit as standard. I am led to believe thy the boost one is an extra.

I could be wrong but I believe it means you have the premium sound system. If not then it just means boost as in the bass is way boosted and there's no mids (premium included)

Nope, the Boost is the basic stereo that comes as standard - unless you buy a First or One, which have something even more basic (the Wave, is it?).

Ok, so it means it comes standard with the bass boosted which horribly destroys the mids

Mine has Boost plus DAB and speakers on the A pillar. I'm confused what upgrade this may be?

It's Boost radio with Hi-fi speakers upgrade (or Harman Kardon).
